I vouch for India bail out Sri Lanka only if SL agrees to get advice from Indian Economic Experts like what IMF does.
Many may think 'Why should we help SL?'.
It's not only strategic and geopolitical. If situation in SL worsens, it will create illegal immigrations which can create both economic and political instability in India.

First NOTE...Average Lankan earns twice that an Average Indian. Modi is taking money from India's poor to give to a country that openly dislikes India and loves China. People will not forgive Modi for such act where Indian's poor money is used to pay for Chinese loans. Yes, if Lanka gives India the same deal that they give their lover China, then sure, 99 year lease on Colombo port would be nice to have. The problem in Sl right now is people wants to have the life that they had 3 years before but no one can give it right now, the biggest problem in SL the energy crisis but People need to understand that we should limit our personal energy consumption. SL has the highest percapita oil consumption in the region 352.3L per year, Other south asian countries people are not used to have that kind of a life, India has 192 L, Pakistan 148 and Bangaladesh 41.. Sri Lankan people should shift to public transportation and other mean of transport modes
