Why is it such a struggle. Why tf cant i just change the email for gods sake

This doesnt change just the email address of the current owner but is transfering ownership to another Google account and so will wipe everything. The video should be called "How to transfer ownership of your youtube account" You can change the Primary Owner Email address but you cannot use another gmail email address as it will say the email is already associated with another google account. You need to use a non gmail email address to update it. Very complicated as once you create a Gmail account it is automatically associated with a new Youtube account...very controlling. Click on the avatar on the top right, then click on Google Account, then click on Personal Info, Scroll down to the Contact section and see the email part, Click on the arrow to the right of the email address, then Click on the Contact Email address again (very clicky), there you should be able to change the email address. Again, you cannot use another gmail address, you need to use a none gmail address.

It works.. even only as a 'manager' the purpose sort of served I guess.. at least for me. Now my son can upload with his own email as Manager and I stay the Owner

this transfer ownership only, but not monitize it right? monitizing is only with the old email if your old email already got the monitize level.
