Fun Fact : Most Indian names of people have a meaning, unlike western names who are mostly named after Christian saints or from bible. for ex: Narendra in Narendra modi literally means Lord/King of People(Yes, destiny works in mysterious ways for some people), Karuna Nidhi means a treasure trove of compassion, Vijay means victory, Selvam(commonly used in Tamil nadu) means wealth/joy etc.

Got this idea after seeing your checklist, what if a few blank pages with columns are added to your check list for western tourists to jot down meanings along with names of useful contacts like travel agents, drivers, hotel manager etc. incase they have trouble remembering Indian names, it becomes a memory technique to remember. same goes for name of places as well, but there are exceptions so it might get confusing/complicated.

Don't think any india focussed travel blogger has realised this, you may be the first.

FYI about Train booking: Download 'PhonePe' app, go to travel section, there is 'IRCTC' to book Train reservation.

I don't think you need to book train ticket a month For very few places it's true.... But for most of the places you can book your ticket 2-3 days ago except when there is any big festival I always book ticket before 2-3 days if there is no wedding or festival season

You scared people off.... honestly, India travel is not so hassly! Safety on Insurance and what Apps do work in India (a digital friendly country... Ola/Uber, Swigggy/Zomato, IRCTC ... trains app etc. will help), please suggest these!
