Love it. Gave me the confidence to give it a go. You do need to plan it carefully and I've had to cut to shape...painful. It's cost me a week's work and 900 euro instead of the 4000 quoted. I wasn't looking for perfection in my shady back garden but it's turned out brilliantly.

I install artificial grass in the UK. This looks OK for a DIY installation, I don't think any of my customers would be satisfied with the edges which are not very neat, and they would certainly be on the phone a few months down the line when areas start to sink and weeds begin to grow through because the sub base wasn't properly compacted, and no weed membrane was put underneath. The 16yr warranty covers the actual product, but as it hasn't been properly installed its not actually going to still be looking good in 16 years.
It is hard work as the video mentions, if you want to put in the time and effort yourself I can't see why an installer would have a problem, but I would recommend reading up on the subject and doing the job properly. I have no problem with the customer doing the groundwork themselves and I just charge for the fitting, which includes stretching the grass like a carpet to ensure future wrinkles do not appear, trimming the edges properly and finishing to a high standard.

I used 6mm to dust limestone as my laying surface rather than sand and found it much better to work with. Sand over time will sink in places and allow pockets for ants to work through.

Just my way of thinking don't know if anyone else has used limestone dust.

You can buy a 12.5 x 15 ft roll on anazon for 180.00 so for under 400 you can do a 25ft x30 a lot cheaper than 3000

Where are best places to buy good-looking artificial grass that’s also economical? And do you recommend a fescue-looking type or what? I have a large front yard where grass will not grow well due to older trees/roots. I want to put in artificial grass and be done with the growth issues. I like the idea of sticking with 15’ wide goals to eliminate cuttings.
