Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day! So I've been using the Brydge Max Plus keyboard for a few days and I really wanted to compare the trackpad functionality to the Magic keyboard and see where the brydge keyboard stacks up!

Great comparison! Thanks a lot :) Your videos are getting constantly better and better. With that said... considering that Bydge uses a bluetooth connection (and in this way it basically doesn't drain the battery) I think that Bydge's crew have done an amazing job!

Ok, so lets just break it down to semantics. The additional weight and that missing “x factor” re the micro latency that keeps getting brought up (due to being Bluetooth over apple smart connector) is where and why you’ll save the $100 diff. Fernando, no mention or review re the typing experience while palms of hands rested on bottom left and right sides and due to the behemoth trackpad may sometimes trigger an unwanted trackpad gesture?

I have the Brydge Max+ and it has replace the Magic Keyboard since I have the 2021 12.9 iPad Pro. I really did not want to have to replace the old one with the new one. I could not be happier with the Brydge. It has come a long way from there first try and a trackpad where I really do not think about it any more I am so used to it and the weight is not all that bad since I do carry a 16 MBP at time with me. Very good review as well.

Before deciding on the Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro 12.9, I did have a chance to try the bridge + keyboard. After my test run of the keyboard, I had found what I have found from previous versions of Brydge keyboard, that is they feel like unfinished products. Why I feel this way is partly because of the texture on the buttons, when typing it feels like your left with this weird powdery texture on the tips of your fingers and the proportion of the weight when attached makes the keyboard feel more than .5 lb more than the Magic Keyboard.

Nice review. I liked the side by side comparison. I’ve placed my order for the Brydge Max. I have the Pro+ and love it but really like the new styling and functionality of the new design. They ship in September. I can’t wait.

I love my Brydge keyboard, i did turn the trackpad speed all the way up and like it so much better.

Thanks for the comparison! I've watched several reviews and eventually I decided to just stick to the Magic Keyboard. The weight balance and reliable connection of the MK are very important, even more than function keys.

I have both. It’s not just the cleaning of the Magic Keyboard that is an issue. It is also the durability. Mine is coming apart at the seams. I got one at release, I think Apple made a serious error on the material decision of this. The only issue, which I guess I will get used to with the Brydge is the unintentional clicks on the giant trackpad. Honestly it’s so big it’s pretty much too big. Also Brydge is way heavier.

Nope the white stays surprisingly clean. The black shows grease and fingerprints. Glad I went with the white.

It's frustrating because there's no keyboard/trackpad case that does the bare minimum of what I'm looking for. I want some thing that's designed like this, but use the smart connector, so I can charge the case and the iPad together, and not have to worry about the Bluetooth connecting and disconnecting all the time. Ideally I'd also like to have a hub built into it, and I would like to talk to detach so I can turn it into a regular iPad or taken on the go without the keyboard from time to time (I also use my iPad for navigation in the car, so much better than Apple CarPlay). I like this one a lot, but doesn't use a smart connector, doesn't have a hub. The Doqo does offer a hub version, but without using the smart connector, relies on a walkie cable system. The logitech is basically a light version of the Apple one. The Apple one he's a smart connector, but is incredibly overprice, and lacks build quality in the casing material.

Four days after I bought the Brydge, the trackpad packed up. No cursor, but I can see the iPad's response to the cursor, and the space bar acts as a back button. Looking online, it seems that Brydge have had trackpad issues for a long time, and they still haven't solved it.
I'm not willing to wait - it's going back. I can't live with an unreliable keyboard, however lovely it looks.

Hey there! I noticed your Satechi Slim X1 there in the shot. How do you like that compared to these cases? Any reliability issues with connectivity?

After waiting 6 weeks or more after the promised delivery date I just cancelled my Brydge order and bought the AMK for for my iPad Pro. Nice keyboard especially in white.

I hope you do a comparison video of the Magic Keyboard and the ESR Rebound Magnetic Keyboard/Trackpad Case for the 12.9” iPad Pro. I have both and I have to say I really like the ESR unit and am using it 100% of the time now.

Why pay more. For an extra port? For a smaller foot print? For the possibility to use in your lap?

Does it work with the new universal control?
