Most pallets are made from oak. It's called grade 2 or 3 or 4, not good enough to use for other building purposes. Oak is dense, so it has amazing insulation properties. Husband and I had a logging business, and we cut alot of varieties of timber . Our home was built from oak logs. Using pallets like this is a great idea, and I admire this man for his use of them
