This doesn't always work for most Android devices. I tried it with my Galaxy Tab A7 and it didn't really work for "force apps to external storage" I had to do it manually which is annoying...
It's not really a device issue it's more or less a OS issue/bug.

Mine has been activated (in Developer Options > Force allow apps to write on external storage), but I still receive no options to do so whenever I'm in the Play Store... :-( Any other suggestions please?

I've watched until i knew about an option can be done on the SD card itself first.. which is something like format as internal storage. Maybe that's the thing first
