Aligot
Ingredients
Potato: 5 (800g)
Garlic: 2 Cloves
Mozzarella Cheese: 300g (or 200g Gruyere + 200g Mozzarella)
Butter: 4 Tbsp
Cream: 200mL
Water: 1L
Salt: 1 Tbsp
Black Pepper: 1/4 tsp
I had quite a lot of potatoes stashed in my cupboard so I decided to make a potato dish for today's quest. Aligot originally uses Tome fraîche (Cheese) but that's really difficult to find outside of France so I decided to use Mozzarella instead. For more 'Authentic' taste, try mixing 200g of gruyere or comte with 200g of mozzarella. It makes a perfect side dish to have with steak / sausages.
