I’m also confused as to when you season. If your ripping and tipping, when do you season?

This is not a debate. Some ppl wash their meat, and some ppl don't. Their habits have served them well. As long as nobody is dead yet, there is no debate

Hey if your chicken is slimy and smells funky then that means it’s spoiled and not safe to eat no matter how well you wash or cook it. Just because it’s your culture doesn’t make it correct.

What are you cleaning off your meat?? Anything that won't die when it's being burned in an oven or pan won't be killed by some lemon and water. By putting water on to chicken increases the risk of salmonella

There is no reason to wash meat. If you are having to wash it change supplier as that's a serious problem.
If you are cooking it properly the heat should totally kill off anything that could harm you.
Marinating is different sure but washing is superfluous.

That is not how you wash your meat, it is simply called "washing" but you do not simply run your meat through water, you remove the fat, remove unpleasant looking veins, you remove the smell of the raw chicken with acid (same thing you do with fish) Caribbean ppl use sour orange, vinegar, lemon and/or lime. sometimes you even do this the night before and go right into marinating overnight, and you're suppose to clean the sink before and after the entire process. Thats why KFC in Jamaica Taste better than in America!

Everybody saying they wash their chicken and saying they would never eat unwashed chicken in actuality you probably have because I bet you most professional restaurants do not wash their chicken either. Probably most fast food too.

Oh dear Lord!
I always wash my meat then squeeze lemon juice on it then season the meat and leave it in the fridge overnight for it to marinate.

Didn't realise it wz a West Indian "thing". We definitely wash our meat, squeeze lime or lemon juice on it, season it and let it soak. It can soak for as little as 10 mins or we place it in Tupperware and freeze it for days until we need to cook it. It's just a cultural habit thts like law. Before now, I thght it wz an international practice.🤷‍♀️

You don't just rinse your chicken in the sink. That's is the wrong way.

You washed with lime, vinegar and salt to remove the bacteria and slime and raw chicken SMELL, just use a bowl. Some people are more worried about bacteria spreading around their sink and kitchen counter. You can always clean after.
