When people buy Havahart traps, they should use a permanent black marker to
write the model number(which is always on the box) somewhere on the trap.
Then after you throw out the box and later decide to do a video, you will know
the model number of the trap you are demonstrating and you can include that
in the video name. I have no idea why Havahart does not stamp every trap
with the model number, so people would have this info for later reference.

I just bought one to catch a feral cat for neutering. I have it set to the most sensitive, literally denting the metal top of the trap with the setting screw. He walks in, eats, and walks out. The trap does not spring. What can I do to make it work?

Does NOT look like what I bought and on setting it up it is NOT working.

These don’t trip for raccoons even on the most sensitive setting. Purchased one new last year and raccoons can constantly remove the bait without setting off the trap.

Doesn't work, squirrels go in and out of the trap. The old fashioned traps with a trip set made in Canada work. the plastic knob does not set.

These traps suck. The old style handle gets weak and trips if slightly jarred. My Tractor Supply trap caught a coon..the damn havahart was empty. Probably tripped before coons showed up. Go buy the TC trap..it comes w/ a free smaller trap. Great mechanism.

are you serious? When I go to set the trap I have a lot of slack left in the cable. There are directions printed on paper as well as on the top of the trap to adjust sensitivity. I adjusted to the max allowed in either direction by turning the knob as shown on the top of the trap, but the slack remained in the cable. OK - there's a link to watch a video on youtube to help you if you're still having difficulty. What in the world makes you think that showing a video where all you do is turn the know will address the issue? And why in the world you think that I am such a MORON that you need to make a video like this? What do I do about the flaw in the design?
