Rangers fan here. Billy McNeil will ALWAYS be a well loved and respected Legend/Gentleman by EVERYONE who knew him, or knew of him. A true Role Model before it was even considersd a thing.

What an amazing Statue as well guys. It looks quality well done.

As a gers man yip billy was and probarly will always be celtics greastest captain a true gentleman on and off the park same as the late davie cooper tommy burns walter smith etc they might be rivals on the pitch but were all grest friends off it they may be gone but will never ever be forgotten

Lived near him near Castlemilk.He gave a pair of boots to a boy of a sponsor.Actually alex the man ferguson lived in this same neighbourhood.Alex was villified by david white the ex rangers boss for not defending mcneil at the corner kicks as they went on to beat us 4 -0.It was a horrible day.Funnily enough i used to see alec the man walking up the street but i never saw mcneill .i guess he took a taxi.One could see that alec was going to be a player as he pounded the pavement.
