At idle and decel it’s rich, that’s why you see the flames. When he revs the air fuel ratio is closer to stoich. It’s more efficient.

What happens to the air fuel mixture coming to the combustion chamber when the engine is running down after a throttle blip? Even though the throttle is fully closed, there will be some air fuel mixture coming through the carburettor for idle speed will it combust or just go out to exhaust after passing through combustion chamber without combusting?

Interesting that you can't see the flames when the engine is above idle. Is the camera too slow to pick it up or is that how it actually is?
