honestly the gt-r isn't a super car. its just expensive. if you dont call a tesla or the full alphabet series lineup of mercedes AMG family cars or the big bodied S series Audi and the many different powerful M series of BMWs today supercars, they why would a gt-r be considered a supercar. i mean what classifies a supercar. the power output? the price? the style? the demand for them ? because if it's speed/price then you can pretty much say every car with 500+hp is a super car.(slight exxageration)

Turbo S just care about drag race, which 0.1s quicker than GTR, but GTR did beat Turbo S year by year at Nurburgring.

agreed just trying to make a gt-r is the best car for its price won't find another car in the gtr price range that will out perform

the Nissan Gtr is nothing but a master piece, it just throws the super car guideline book out of the window, even though it weighs 1700 kgs it is faster than most of the european sports cars which cost 3 or 4 times more than a GTR, it also has seats for four people and a big trunk and it seams more specious and comfortable than most sports cars and its very very reliable as its Japanese.

GTR is keeping all other car companies on their toes and is probably not even trying too hard HAHA a black edition GTR would probably hummiliate the entire car company. People just love discriminating because its a Nissan but just like the 911 the GTR has a long history and is a legend

These are both phenomenal cars. I'm a Porsche guy myself, but I can respect the GTR's capabilities. Whoever is getting into Porsche vs Nissan fanboy arguments are ignoring the fact that this commentator is terrible.

Why did the Nissan GTR get a special treatment of "semi-slick tires" and "upgraded suspension" and "remapped ECU". No mention that the Porsche got any of that...guess it didn't need it.

Dude, you say Nissan has NO racing history? Why don't you search on the internet of the first GT-R tuned Skyline back in the past? And if I'm not mistaken, the GT-R broke a lap record on Nurburghring when it was launched.... I did'nt even hear the name Porsche in the category?

hahaha a german who said the porsche is better. Of course, they wont admit the GTR was better! Especially the GTR always been better than the 911 on the nurbugring! that's why the first time in 2009 when the GTR was faster than the 911, porsche accused Nissan of fake and cheating...just after the nurbugring circuit make it official, porsche was really looks like a very bad loser !!!! lol

I'm stopping at 2mins in to say. F this of course a German isn't gonna drive the nissan to best of its abilities. This is gonna be biased bulls### if his time is way slower than the 7:27 that the gt-r's already been proven capable of.

The Porsche is just as loaded with tech as the GTR..The engine response, throttle response, steering feel, the overall behaviour of the GTR put it in the same class with the best Porsches..There is a ton of "quality of the craftsmanship" in there, maybe not as much refinement but it is a great car overall and it's NOTHING "like driving a computer"..and it can handle a lot more power..I take it you drove both cars and you posted your impressions here not just a biased opinion of a fanboy, right? :)

It beats the shit out of any other car and can be highly modified for a good price.
