Painting Blue Yeti (Disassembly)

Never really liked the look of my Blue Yeti, specially after seeing the Razer Seiren. So I thought why not paint it into something that I like, since I already have a couple cans of spray paint somewhere in my closet.

I make a lot of mistakes, hope you guys learn something new, something different from it.

You do not actually need to remove the circuit board from the metal skeleton it is on. You can already unscrew the top cap from the boards without taking the boards off of the skeleton. That way, you'll never have to unplug any wires and you should even have a working microphone (tho without a body) while your body undergoes this painting treatment. Great video, thanks!

i know this is an old video but did you paint over like the modes ( yk the part on the back of the yeti you switch to change how to use the mic ) ? cause what if in the future you wanna change it but dk the mode ure changing it to haha

I don't know but I suspect that you live where they have those very colorful tuk-tuk cabs and things?? I'm thinking very light matte violet - all one color but not gray, white, or black. LOL

Actually just finished painting. The button for the red led will not stay in. It just pushed into the microphone shell and fell in. It doesn't feel long enough to reach now and does not fit. Run into any issues with this and have solutions?

Thank you for sharing this! I bought one used and it smells strongly of chemicals or some type if cigarette smoke, so I may have to take it apart for cleaning.

Will it hurt the mic top? As in, like the metal pop filter that you speak into, when you spraypaint it, will the vapor, liquid damage it in any way?

I want to do this because my blue yeti works just as good when I bought it like 7 years ago, but it’s scratched up and the logo is gone. I had to reorder a mute button because the first one broke I really wanna do this paint it white and blue that’d be sick.
