RG351P - How to install and play devilutionX (Diablo 1 port)

Hello gyus, it's MashTec here!

Today i want to show you how to play devilutionX, a Diablo 1 port, on your RG351P.
I tried to make it as simple as possible and prepared a script that you can easily add to your device, to start the Diablo port right out of EmulationStation.
So if you like to come back with me to the good old days, where we slay the monsters out of these dungeons, grab your RG351 and let's go though the steps together ;) Enjoy!

Note:

Button mapping:
Left analog or D-Pad: move hero
A: attack nearby enemies, talk to townspeople and merchants, pickup/place items in the inventory, OK while in main menu
B: select spell, back while in menus
X: pickup items, open nearby chests and doors, use item in the inventory
Y: cast spell, delete character while in main menu
L1: use health item from belt
R1: use mana potion from belt
L2: character sheet (alt: Start + L1 or ←)
R2: inventory (alt: Start + L2 or →)
Left analog click: toggle automap (alt: Start + ↓)
Start + Select: game menu (alt: Start + ↑)
Select + A/B/X/Y: Spell hotkeys
Right analog: move automap or simulate mouse
Right analog click: left mouse click (alt: Select + L1)
Select + Right analog click: right mouse click (alt: Select + R1)
Select + L2: quest log (alt: Start + Y)
Select + R2: spell book (alt: Start + B)

5:05 dialog box not coming and turning back to game select, 5:40 diablo.ini doesn't exist on that folder. is there a way to do the things manually that script does first time on 5:05 ? system: ampown gd20 premade emuelec 4.3

Damn my ports won't open up on the 353VS :\ same with dreamcast (flycast) and psx.... they just load for a second saying "ark os please wait" and then go back to game selection. Ugh

You are missing the font, that is why you are getting a blank error dialog. If you copy don't strip the font (also please do not strip our readme) then it contains useful information.

Anybody else having an issue with the right stick not controlling the mouse pointer? I’m playing with arkos, any ideas on a fix?

With the gamecontrols installed to the devilution folder and the diablo script installed to ports i still cannot get the controls to work to devilutions original config.

I'm on Android. Tablet. I have everything. But it will not play. I put the files where they need to go. And it fails to load.

I will finish lv 1 of the dungeon ... then I close the game, is it full of mob again? (From a normal game on pc)

I am trying to download this on my android and im so close to getting it but something about diabo.dat.mpq I must not be putting it in right file. I have spawn so I can play a few levels of cathedral. I was playing on multi-player and was talking to someone they said they were on computer. So if I could get it going I could play on computer as well

Nice vid dude. Hell yes we need more of great port games like this . Too bad only work on stock firmware. Hope someone able to make it work on arkos

good news guys. this port works on arkos. all u need is update your arkos to the latest one which is v1.4 through OTA with wifi . then all u need is drag your diabdat.mpq file in your sdcard easyrom --> ports --> devilution folder
also, seems like controller become better too :)
