To anyone who is watching this now, you can also try changing Buffer graphics commands from 2 to none or 0 and for me it improved kingdom hearts birth by sleep and peacewalker to be playable with minimal stuttering in areas with multiple moving objects and stutter free in others. Also you can try to set the system clock to 212 and see if that works, that one is my go to. Yugioh arc V and gx tag force 3 run flawlessly in the 3d cutscenes.

The crew that made the ppsspp stand alone emulator are wizards, even my 4k amazon stick can run some of the least demanding games quite smooth, like guilty gear or blazblue.

I bought the rg350m, simply because I liked the thought of having a handheld with more build quality that mere plastic can't provide. I liked the idea of being able to play retro classics on it, such as ps1 which really switched on my love for games. My favorite handheld was the psp for the longest time, and a cfw psp is a great emulation handheld on its own. But an aluminum body handheld that can do everything the rg350 or 351 can do, plus flawless psp emulation, would be a definite win in my book. So I'm holding out until they release that exact handheld, nvm the price tag.

Hey Russ, great video. It’s worth noting that some games actually fare better without Buffered Rendering or frameskip enabled. Games like Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, Lord of Apocalypse, Ultimate Ghosts ‘N Goblins, and even Final Fantasy Type-0 can achieve a more consistent FPS without Buffered Rendering. Also, make sure that you go into developer tools and disable everything. Lastly, remove control bindings for unnecessary commands, particularly the Speed Toggling and Alternate Speed commands. It’s important that these have nothing bound to them, as they’ve been reported to cause slowdown just by having a mapping.

Heads up! For final fantasy tactics on psp, the "Standard Go" core works better in Arkos than the default. Also it runs the patched version of fftactics that eliminates slowdown during spells. Ppsspp would dip to 15 fps every spell cast where standard go is smooth 45-60 always.

in resolution dont use auto. use 1x it will significally boost performance in expence of low quality. and theres a setting that can reduce the sprites and effects that can boost framerate too i forgot what it is but it in the lower portion of the settings and also i note dont use frame skip it will just skip only the frame but it doesn't boost any frames.

Great vid again. For me, I’m not even bothering with PSP on my 351. I’ve got a PSP, so it’s just pointless taking up that space on my 351 memory card, when I can play those games as they should be played.

Had my system for nearly a year now. Only just set it up. For some reason I thought it could run PSP games flawlessly. Someone Miss advised me I think. Thanks for the tutorial. I’ve changed my settings and some games are now at least playable. :)

My Android actually plays those platforms pretty much perfectly, but the problem is I really can't stand using a clip-on controller so rarely play on it

I've been tinkering with ppsspp settings in order to play Tag Force games, so far are the only ones i've tested

I disabled Frameskip

Kepto cpu clock at default

But the thing that did the most for me was disabling the "Force Real Clock Sync"

Game when from stuttering every once in a while (during the opening cutscene by example)

To smooth, constant 100% speed at PsPx2 resolution

Overworld, duels, 3d cutscenes

At this point the games look better in my 351P than in my Vita
