When we were kids, we would take a stick and tie fishing line to it and a tie about a nickle sized piece of bacon onto the line, and we'd drop it down the hole. The crawdad would grab the bacon, and you could slowly pull the crawdad out of the hole.

There’s was a creek by my house with a bridge over it and me and my ma would go down to the creek and take our fishing poles and tie a piece of hotdog on it and put it down in the creek and the crawfish would just come out and grab it and when one would grab it you’d slowly pull em up to the top of the water and then fling em up about 20 feet onto the bridge and they’d hit the ground and it’d knock ‘em out long enough to pick em up and put em in the bucket without gettin pinched and we’d get like 60 of em a day during the summer😂
