Victor Vescovo, a former navy commander turned explorer, achieved the deepest dive in the world during the Five Deeps Expedition in 2019. Venturing into the Mariana Trench's Challenger Deep, he descended to a staggering depth of approximately 10,928 meters (35,856 feet), setting a world record. Using the "Limiting Factor" submersible, Victor spent about three hours descending, explored the bottom for three to four hours, and then ascended for another three hours. With nerves of steel and dedication to safety, Victor's pioneering spirit led him to become the first person to visit the ocean floor multiple times, discovering new species and promoting ocean conservation. His remarkable achievement inspires a new era of deep-sea exploration and preservation of our precious marine ecosystems.
