Kit Fisto vs. Palpatine ROTS Deleted Scene

At this point I'm convinced every scene that George decided to cut was wrong.

Would’ve been cool to see the Kit and the other Jedi masters put up a fight vs Sidious but the cut we got in the film was fine imo

If they survived for longer, it would’ve traded the idea of Sidious being exponentially stronger for the idea that the Jedi were competent fighters and could match up against a Sith Lord who has decades worth of planning time

The actual fight in the lore was so intense that anakin couldn't even clearly see it since it was so fast like lightning bolts. Shame that george wanted the same actors (with no experience) to do the lightsaber duel

I think what we got is great because it shows the other jedi masters' power fail to compare to palpatine's, and it really makes him look even more powerful and in tune with the dark side. However i do think kit fisto shouldve survived for at least 10 more seconds (maybe up until the hallway fight of the scene) because he is actually a competent fighter and would probably be the equivalent of 0.4 kenobi's (yes i know thats a weird comparison)

I would have loved to see the guards in action. Their lore builds them up to be soooo menacing but they’ve never actually showed up in live action. I wish they would have kept this version.

Everyone say Mace defeated Palpatine but did you see how Palpatine pointed his lightsaber at Mace's undefended chest? The duel ended right there to decide who the victor was.

The fighting in the movie is probably the best ever created in cinema. I think adding more and more fighting would be a bit overkill

They should have had Palpatine boby trap the room, horribly taking out soma of the jedi. The n he attacks.

Having Anakin's lightsaber would have made it a bit odd and complicated. Everything else is totally valid.

The prequels should prove once and for all that Lucas cannot plan meticulous details or edit. He needed people to see his vision and carry it out in a way that makes sense and would please the audience. Every decision made was wrong and there was no one there to tell him different.
