This Is What A Perfect Episode Of Spongebob Looks Like

The very best Spongebob episodes are all pretty unique of one another, there’s no formula or exact science. Yet episodes like Squid’s day off and Pizza Delivery have a few things in common. Spongebob and Squidward have combined for some great moments, but there’s a few moments that I think mark the best of the show. This is a look at what a perfect Spongebob Squarepants episode looks like.

I just noticed that Squidward says “It’s just around the corner”, and in the end of the episode it reveals that it almost literally is. What a show.

The moment when SpongeBob was trying to hold back his tears because he thought he failed and Squidward showing concern for him and standing up for him even through all the stuff they've been through trying to deliver this pizza really was icing on the cake for this episode.

Bad shows: Fail to reference pop culture and come off as extremely forced and obnoxious
Great shows: Make subtle and hilarious, natural pop-culture references that are not obnoxious and dont alienate people who don't get the joke and makes the show age perfectly

*old* spongebob will never be topped, it was ahead of its time. It aged beautifully, while other shows you watched alongside spongebob during childhood (although you remember them to be good) didn’t. I’m honestly lucky to have grown up with such a masterpiece.
