Hi Fans !

No doubt the Raspberry is one of the most popular computer for you.
And lot of you guys wants to control the DYNAMIXEL on Raspberry Pi, but had no lucky to find the basic instruction video so far. I know. I am sorry :(
My team has made great effort to make the DYNAMIXEL Quick Start Guide for Raspberry Pi, and you can control your DYNAMIXEL in C language ! Of course other various language, such as C++, Python and so on, can be used as long as the DYNAMIXEL SDK supports.

Check out the video, and see how easy to control DYNAMIXEL through our Quick Start Guide !

Hi, With the tutorial you provided, did this work too OpenRB-150 with Raspberry pi?

I have an XL330-M077-T, and eventually hope to have many working together. I have three questions. Ambitious newbie here.

1) I am not sure whether to use the arduino dynamixel shield with an arduino, or the U2D2 system. The U2D2 system looks much simpler, is there any drawback to this? I'd rather go in the raspberry pi/u2d2 direction and avoid all the arduino infrastructure, but my teammate is pulling in the other direction.

2) What is the upper limit on motors that you could daisy chain together? Is the restriction due to power? If we were to jump the the power every 4 to 5 Dynamixel like you suggest, how many motors could we daisy chain together?

3) For an arbitrarily large amount of XL330-M077-T motors being used to do some synchronized action, would you use a U2D2-based setup or an arduino-based setup?

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, when I get to ./read_write at the end I have an error "Error opening serial port. Failed to open the port !"
Btw I have it on ttyACM0
Can you please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Please provide a tutorial on how to use the OpenCR 1.0 with Raspberry Pi to control Dynamixel motors. I bought the TurtleBot3 and I want to build a differential drive robot from scratch but I'm yet to figure out how to turn the motors. Thanks.

Would this workflow work with 24 V motors of Dynamixel?

Hey! How would you go about connecting 18 XL430's? I'm looking at daisy chaining them in groups of 3, so would need 6 available ports on the hub. Would it be better to chain 2 hubs together or chain the 18 motors into 2 groups of 9? This is for a six-legged hexapod with 18 DOF, running off a Pi 4. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi, I would like to use openCR to control my custom robot, is there any firmware that I could use for it? Or I can just install the turtlebot firmware and just make the modification, if so where and how should I do for the modification?
