Don't listen to the last tip, after I did that i lost access to both drives on the xbox app, and there is no option to update gaming services.

Also here to say i tried EVERYTHING and was ready to cancel my ultimate subscription until i found this. Last step worked like a dream. Look no further regedit is the answer everyone.

I cannot choose one drive in particular, it's visible but when I click on it, it immediately goes back to C:\

So solution 6 worked for me, but there's an extra step now that's not covered in the video.
Complete solution 2 before to change default app download location, then after deleting the gaming services file right click the Start button, find control terminal ADMIN.

Type in: get-appxpackage *gamingservices* -allusers | remove-appxpackage -allusers
Hit enter and close terminal. Reopen Xbox app and it should tell you to redownload gaming services. Afterward I was able to download to my E drive

I can´t download games from the game pass. I can download some games if they say that it don´t recognise the folder so it downloades them to the same folder that the other windows apps

I just did the last step but now the xbox app does not show either drives available. It just shows there was a problem loading installation locations.

for those who tried last solution and can’t download games the same happened to me what i did was go to settings then apps then find gaming services and click advanced options then click reset and repair

Yea so I’m going to have to get a whole new computer now. I tried all of the steps and the last one especially messed up my computer. All I wanted to do was install Minecraft for windows. Everything else was working except for that… Now my entire computer is totally messed up. Sorry for anyone else having a hard time with this

awesome! thanks! the regedit works for me. unfortunately I got an error when I tried to install a game. but the fix is pretty easy considering they have it on the xbox support website.

what fixed my problem was this, i moved these files from the other drives to the one that was not working (D Drive) - WindowsApps, WpSystem, WUDownloadCache and XboxGames folders and it worked.
