I can launch Synapse on Linux with a single press of the Super/Win key and I can launch all of my usual programs by typing the first letter or first 2 letters of their names and hitting [Enter] (after maybe teaching Synapse what the right answer is for certain match strings by using the up and down arrow keys if I don't like its first guess, but I will only have to do this once for each match string).

Launchy-what? Windows Search what? Windows Run what? Don't make me laugh.
