when i was stationed in germany one of the coolest things was near Frankfurt. I guess the local government paid graffiti artists, or everyone thought it was cool enough that they left it alone, but someone painted a skeletonized robot dog in different stages of a run on the sound barriers along the railway tracks. as you went by at speed it looked like the dog was actually running. very cool stuff.

What I like about 1UP is they put their stuff where no one can get to. Very different from hitting spots everyone has access to.

Sry, kann nicht verstehen, warum diese Aktionen hier so gefeiert werden. Klar, das Video ist nice geschnitten und vermittelt einen aufregenden Lifestyle. Aber wisst ihr, wie scheisse es ist, hinter zugesprayten Fenstern Metro fahren zu müssen? Es gibt wirklich super Graffitis, die Farbe in triste Gegenden bringen und auf Missstände aufmerksam machen, aber das hier ist das Gegenteil davon: Anstatt auf Missstände aufmerksam zu machen (...und die unterfinanzierten ÖPNV bieten da ja durchaus Angriffsfäche...), ist das einzige, worauf hier aufmerksam gemacht wird: "1UP" - also das eigene Markenzeichen. Dabei wird billigend in Kauf genommen, dass Reinigungskosten in Millionenhöhe entstehen und der ÖPNV noch unattraktiver wird. Aber es gibt halt traurige Menschen, die alles für ihre eigenen "5 Minutes of Fame" tun ...

I see many people hating on graffiti, but once you start with a few tags you can’t stop. It’s damn near impossible to stop writing after you start. Graffiti is so loved because it takes people hours to do some peices, while having the risk of getting caught every single second.

I respect lawful graffiti artists that make spectacular art. I've seen some jaw dropping art throughout my traveling, on some of the most mind boggling spots... But I honestly don't see anything spectacular about vandalising a train with some fancy words. I guess the majority disagree and approve this kind of behaviour, but that's my 2 cents.
