As a person living in Taiwan through out this pandemic, up until today, 95% of the the population is still wearing a mask, even outside! Life is completely normal in all our cities.
All children are going to school. Pubs and restaurants are operating in their normal hours. Up until today, we have 609 cases, 90% came from abroad. 7 people had died from COVID.
No matter what experts say, mask works, wear one. It will save lives.

A lot of the symptoms are similar to what we with "invisible illnesses" or "autoimmune disorders" deal with. I wonder if this virus isnt bringing about autoimmune diseases in their bodies.

I’ll take the risk with the vaccine when it comes. Good luck to anyone who decides otherwise.

I see by the down-votes that the denial of reality is in full swing here. My work colleague has long COVID, If he walks around the block it causes him to have extreme muscle ache and that's just one of many symptoms.

This is why I’m so aggressive about not sending kids to school. you’re willing to risk giving the next generation long term health issues.

My family and I went through covid . I was the worst one during illness . The headaches were incredible . But not hardly being able to speak, use my hands, stand, and the smell coming out of my mouth and nose was atrocious .
After "recovering", doz
Edit : dizziness, concentration, and my memory is fried . My memory, three months later is fair but no where near what it used to be . And my hands still have bouts of randomly dropping things . Yes, your taste changes dramatically .

Please take this very seriously people, I’ve lost three loved ones to this thing, and by God’s Grace I won’t be next. Say a prayer for me please. 🙏🏽

You can tell from her voice how much trouble she is having.

Her husband's eyes are so sad.

My asthma is worse. Throat is affected... other issues. Wear masks, social distance...try your best to not get this!

Maybe I'm a jaded cynic, but I see a lot of abuse with insurance companies and long-term disability coming down the pipe. A lot of sick days. And why does it seem these long haulers symptoms are not the measurable quantifiable type? ie chronic fatigue, headaches, brain fog.
Going to be a lot of people that don't feel like heading back to work.

🙏🏻 So glad she is sharing her struggles. My daughter ended up with permanent asthma following the H1N1 (swine flu).

I was diagnosed with Miller Fisher's syndrome in February. Strangely I keep hearing about Covid-19 long hauler's and their symptoms that are familiar to me. As my treatment I was given steroids and a IVIG treatment over five days that in my particular case did wonders for me. My case may be different from others but it seemed to help me recover to a resemblance of my old self. I am not where I was as remnants of Miller Fischer's lingers on. Miller Fischer's is similar where as your body's immune system goes into hyper drive attacking itself. I had horrible tremors, double vision and difficulty with balance. I couldn't walk, lost muscle mass all over and actually went numb over my entire body. I had to learn all over again to walk and care for myself through therapy. I feel for Covid-19 long hauler's, I understand what your going through. Praying for a treatment to help patients facilitate back to normalcy.

I've had it. At first I thought I got off easy. Had what felt like a bad cold for about 10 days. No big deal for me, I thought.

Then I tested negative and the actual problems started. Fatigue, weight loss, I get winded easily, have heart palpitations, a low grade fever that just will not go away, memory lapses. The long term effects have been harder to manage than the initial illness.
