This is a very extreme and rare case of post covid syndrome. i wish the media were more responsible on this topic as they feed unnecessary fear on people who's symptoms will disappear sooner than this man's. so far there is zero evidence this long hauler thing will be permanent, eventually everyone recovers fully. same thing happen with 2003's sars outbreak. all long haulers fully recovered. some took a couple of weeks, others a few months and the very rare cases over a year but they also recovered.

After all the tests come up 'normal', your doctors will be stumped and may possibly think it's psychosomatic or "all in your head" and grow annoyed by you. From then on, they may be more dismissive of any other issue you bring up. They may also make a notation in your medical records that you are a hypochondriac, so other docs will be dismissive as well.
