Currently going through a divorce and we’re both Christian. She filed without one conversation, took our 11 month old and moved in with her parents. Her dad is a PASTOR and helped pay for her lawyer. A no fault divorce; divorce was not an option for me, but to her it was. Now I’m having to fight in court for more time with our son and she’s going for everything she can get but didn’t bring ANYTHING to the marriage. I owned a home prior to marriage but she can still claim half the equity, half of my assets, etc. It’s ridiculous how off balance divorce laws are. And I’m paying more in child support per month than we BOTH payed for in a month.

Absolutely TRUE! I made that mistake once and lost everything, even both of my children, career and paid a ridiculously high child support without visitation rights. Never make the mistake of marriage.

I divorced early in my 20s because he cheated while I was deployed and did drugs, got kicked out of the military. He also stole a lot of money from me and sent the paperwork back for an entire year so that I had to support him as my dependant. My lawyer wrote up this giant thing where I was owed a bunch of money, a laptop and some other items but on divorce day I told the judge I wanted nothing but a divorce and he could keep the dog too. The judge was so surprised but I just wanted a clean break.

A few years later my military housewife friend cheated on her husband and asked for a divorce. She wanted alimony and child support in the amount of $1300 a month. I told her she was out of her mind and it was a bitch move and never spoke to her again. Divorce is fine in some situations, but just call it what it is and move the hell on. It's not a cash cow.

Women will literally throw divorce parties. The reasons given by them are often unfathomable. Some of the reasons I have heard within the last couple years from the ladies: They weren’t happy anymore….. They felt like they were missing out… They believed that they settled for their husband and now want to find the quality of man they deserve….Their husband is boring…. They want to have new experiences (sleep around)…. They want excitement and adventure…. They are a “free spirit” that felt caged…. “They just wanted change”.

When they tell women these things, the majority of women are on their side and actually agree with them; validating their reasons. When they tell men, they seem to understand (on some level) how ridiculous and selfish their reasons are. This is when they will claim that their ex was abyouseff to them, he was a narcissist, he was horrible to be around, etc. When asked what the police did when she reported the claimed abyousse they admit that they never went to the police. I sincerely feel terrible for the ladies who actually do experience that stuff from men. However, I also know that a LOT of their claims are lies meant to justify their own selfishness. Also, it’s incredibly difficult to prove something DIDN’T happen; and they know this. These days, it’s trendy to claim “financial abyousse”. This sounds like a man who would never allow his wife access to funds or he would do horrible stuff to her if she spent too much on groceries or something. In reality, if a man at ANY time told his wife that he didn’t want her to spend money on something, then he is guilty of it- regardless of how frivolous the purchase was or their ability to afford it. If they earned $60, 000 combined annually and she wanted to buy a purse for $5000 and he was vocally against it, then he is considered guilty of it. Flip the script though and it’s just a wife denying a man spend money on something; even if he needs it for work, then she is just being financially responsible….

Worse yet, women are paid MORE if they exclude Dads from the child's life. Child support will calculate to more money based on the number of days Dads are allowed to see their kids. Less days with Dad = more $ for Mom.
