WARNING FOR ALL MAKEUP ARTISTS! DONT GET SCAMMED

Hey guys. I really wanted to share this experience with you all because I wanna warn you. And it would be a horrible feeling if this happened to any person knowing I didn't speak up about it.
Sharing this video would be really nice. I think there needs to be more awareness for these type of situations. It's so easy to fool someone through the internet. I'm happy I found out just in time before I send her any of my money and hopefully by showing you this video you will get more suspicious as well. If you have any other tips that you think would be helpful for catching those scammers please post it in the comments.

I do wanna mention that the actual real Jennifer Mulrow does work at Glamour Magazine and the person that emailed me is trying to convince me it's her. So please don't send the real Jennifer Mulrow any hate because she has nothing to do with this. I feel really bad for her that someone is using her name this way. And I will try to contact her to make her aware of that this is happening,

Hey guys! I really hope this would give some more awareness because this email is send to a lot of artists and it should be talked about more. After seeing this video and reading comment I realize I was just really naive and stupid. There were so many signs that showed this is fake.. But I almost fell for it and I'm sure other people will fall for it too.. and I don't want any of you to lose your money or lose your life! The first thing I always look at when I get emails I is if it says gmail.com I know it can’t be real usually brands etc have a professional email that will say @glamourmagazine or something like that. I am so sorry this happened to you An, it’s so frustrating that people do this to people... I am glad you’re sharing your story with us!!

This is just crazy! I received the exact same email a month ago but the InStyle version. I never responded because they said they found me through my Facebook page. I don’t have a Facebook page for my beauty account so I thought it was weird. Thank you for posting this video! ❤️

First time I have heard it this scam, It’s a good thing your boy friend told you to wait for him to check it out before you made any type of payment, this gave you enough time to do more research. A guardian angel is by your side.Thanks for the awareness.

A model was missing a few months ago in Europe too and her agency was able to find her before she was lost forever. That's great that you did a video about your experience An! I hope Glamour and Instyle magazines will make a public statement for these scams!

Why do there have to be so many scammers out there? Why can’t people just make an honest living and quit screwing over hard working people? The models disappearing is super scary! Sorry this happened to you but I’m glad you figured it out before it was too late.

Anytime anyone gets an email or a scammer situation like this, it should be reported to law enforcement including the FBI immediately. They have a task Force for this type and these types of scams and people. YOU MUST REPORT IT!!! DON'T IGNORE IT! You could be the key in stopping an online predator. REPORT REPORT

First of all who would thumbs down something that's so informative that's meant to help other ppl avoid things like this maybe other SCAMERS. Omg this happened to me!!!
Except the person contacting me said they were from Vogue 🙄
I was SO excited! However I noticed the email was a gmail address instead of @vogue as you would expect it to be.
I ended up googling the girls name and same thing - it all looked legit.
UNTIL, I reached out to her via her her official Instagram and that’s where she confirmed it was a scam and that I hadn’t been talking to her at all 😒

This is so evil... preying on the hopes of aspiring makeup artists. I wonder if they are purposely reaching out to people who speak English as a second language? I say this because, as a native speaker, I noticed immediately that there were a ton of grammatical errors in “Jennifer’s” emails. Not just typos, but it sounded like the scammer might actually not be a native English speaker, so maybe they’re targeting people who wouldn’t notice that too easily? Also, it seemed like they were making the instructions purposely confusing.


I’m heartbroken that this happened to you. You certainly have the talent, so I would have wanted to believe, if I were you. But, I’m so glad you figured it out before it was too late. And thanks for sharing! I’m sure that will help other up and coming artists from being scammed.

Wow! I’m so glad you found out about it before something bad happened to you An. Even just losing your money by buying their make up kits is still an illegal activity on their part as they’re selling to you on false pretences. The other stuff is just beyond disgusting that people take advantage of others dreams to prey upon them in the worst way.

It’s a shame that this is going on the world of today. How many people have been fooled and lead to believe in something that looks so genuine, that could be a trap. Either having their bank accounts hacked, having their identity stolen or even as far as this, trafficking. It’s a scary world that we live in and it’s very worrying on how far some people will go if they don’t look into things before they take the plunge. We are all vulnerable adults and I’m so glad An that you never carried on and went ahead with it. So glad you shown this to everyone too and made other people aware. But I do hope that one day, you do get a genuine offer as it would be great to put towards your portfolio as you are an amazing makeup artist
