Ariat Work Boot- 1 Year Wear Test

Показать описание
My review of the Ariat WorkHog Steel-Toe Workboot. I put this boot through the wear and tear of my job over the past year. In addition to driving a haz-mat tanker truck, I work outside in from temperatures above 100 degrees to 10 below zero. My job includes filling diesel and gas tanks on farms, golf courses, quarries and job sites. Part of my job also includes filling heavy equipment, in the mud, muck and mire. See how my Ariat boots held up over the previous year.

I got my first pair of Ariat workhogs yesterday. Can't wait to try them out. They look so fancy for a workboot.

Just found a wizard of a cobbler, resoled after a year with vibram waffle soles for $80. They look badass. Retired them from work, now they are my weekend bike boots.

As a fellow fuel hauler, I know & understand how much boots get destroyed quickly. The gas fuel terrain and weather beats down the boots and feet fast. I will give Ariat a try seeing that my Keenan boots lasted about 4 months smh. Thanks for sharing the review and experience.

I love the Ariat Workhogs. My first pair I bought was a 12 D. They were comfortable but I think a little narrow by the way my foot broke them down on the outside . I really abused this first pair, dragging them through the mud and snow and briars building fence at our new place in the country along with other projects. I recently took a new position at work that will require being at field locations every week, most days some weeks. This requires having boots that are EH rated and have a composite toe. So I ordered a 12 D in these, just like the first pair. When they arrived, I found they were too tight on my foot and wasn’t sure if they would stretch enough to be comfortable with the composite toe. I sent them back and on a hunch ordered a 11.5 EE. The boots arrived and I found they fit perfect. I have wore them every day and they are comfortable as could be. My new position will not be that demanding on the boots ‘ toughness, so I think I should get a couple years out of them. But if it’s less, I will still buy them again. I don’t think they will break down like my first pair because of the better fit.

I have two pairs of Ariats and two pairs of Justins. Love em all! I do find the Ariats to be a little more comfortable. But both brands are very comparable and good in their own ways.

Nice video. I just bought my first pair of ariats today and I came from 2 pairs of Carolinas and a pair of cat and Carolinas you can get like 2-3 years out of them.

I love my Ariat boots but in my line of work a year will never happen out of any boots. Most I may have gotten was like 6 maybe 7 months. But I work in a metal stamping plant. So my work day consists of scrap metal, oil, lube, etc. Even tho they are a lil bit pricey they hold up better than any other brand so far and a comfortable right outta the box.

Justin waterproof stampede, composite toe. That’s what I wear. I have two pairs I have my first pair for eight years and they’re still going on strong and then I just got a new pair for Christmas this past year and I’ve barely worn them because I’m trying to wear out my first pair I used to be a landscaper. That’s what I bought my first pair for and I did farming which I still do farming so I’ll see how my new pair hold up after my old pair and I think my new pair is insulated so that should be good when the weather cools down.

I started using Ariat boots 6-7 years ago …I’ve had 3 pairs …they’re really good boots and I beat the mess out of them …they all last me a good 2 years but I probably should’ve changed them out at 1.5 years …yea they’re a little expensive but I’ve bought boots for $60 and they only last me a few months…if that

My sole delaminated. trying to figure out the best glue. need to find what the sole is made of to match with the right glue...great boot. (all new boots slip because the sole is stiff)

Are they non slip resistant on greeses and wet floors

Red Wing Pecos, you'll never wear out the leather as long as you oil them occasionally, the soles are tough depending on what surfaces you work on. Metal grates and concrete will wear them out, but they can be resoled. 10+ years Wyoming oil field.
