Coaching works by building a trust-based partnership in service of a client’s goals. But in the realities of today’s society, does that work across cultural, gender, age and other identity differences? The International Coaching Federation updated the Coaching Competencies; on the surface, the new framework isn’t that different… but through the lenses of equity and emotional intelligence, the update competencies offer a remarkable opportunity.

Join the Vice President at ICF who led the update, a specialist on equity in coaching, and one of the leaders of EQ coaching in a deep dive about the update. We’ll explore the implications in terms of power, transformation, antiracism, and trust. The monthly Smarter With Feelings EQ Livestream is an in-depth dialogue with thought leaders -- and you! Join live to be part of the conversation, or listen anytime at the same link.

Really loved this conversation. Michael's uniting hands, mending hearts and challenging minds was has evoked a great picture of what we do as coaches and why we do it. Thanks all !

I'm also interested in learning more about whether the change in governance (in this case, competencies) would show differences in associating with outcome variables whether it's in a sales field, tech, non-profit, or higher ed. I have not yet found an evidence-based study that's considered following Institute of Education Sciences (Dept of Edu), especially in the early learning field (I've seen folks from UNC or UNF did a small scale study, and was wondering if there's anyone who has looked in to statewide/national wide impact).
