I suggest that we refactor how we change/update the UI of the tab button. I see that you keep looping every buttons for updates even though it is unnecessary.

Since you keep track of the selected tab, you can use that to get the button as previously selected before updating the `selectedTab` on tap of the button, that way you are only updating the previously selected button and the newly selected button.
