In this tutorial, we’ll look at BigQuery parameters and how you can use them to make your Data Studio reports more flexible and maintainable. We’ll connect a BigQuery data source to a Data Studio report using a custom query, and use a parameter so report editors can modify the query from a list of predefined options.

This is fantastic. Does writing the query within BQ of LS vs. into BQ itself make any performance differences?

Thanks for this, assuming I'm using the parameter as a client ID to determine what the client sees, is it possible to have the parameter as part of the report url

Nice tip! I didn't know that. It would be very nice if you guys could explain how to JOIN tables in Data Studio using Big Query in that field "Personalized Query", you know? I am trying to find it so hard on Youtube and I didn't find it yet. Thanks in advance!
