Nice tutorials. Using them right now to refresh my knowledge and they are very helpful.

One question though: Why not include the doctype and the <html>-tags in the templates?
It works and you don't have to write them on every page (if you use more than one).

Also, currently (18.06.2020), materialize has somehow an issue with <!DOCTYPE html>.
Dropdowns and Dropdown-Triggers aren't working if you have a doctype declared.
At least it wouldn't work in my project and this was the only change I made.
