WHAT to SEE in Rijeka, Croatia! (Seaport, Trsat Castle & Beaches) 🇭🇷

We were shocked to read that Rijeka is considered to be an 'industrial town' this is because it had beautiful buildings, boats and beaches! Rijeka's economy relies heavily on shipbuilding and you only have to be in the city for a few minutes until you see the shipyard cranes.

Travelling Eastern and Central Europe over the last couple of months it goes without saying that it's been a while since we visited a beach, there are multiple beaches throughout Rijeka this was one of the first ones that we found. You might not be able to see it in the video however on this very small beach there was a decent sized bar that you could order drinks from.

As for the rest of Rijeka, there is a food truck festival that runs for almost a month every year which is held up by the Trsat castle, it is a short bus ride to the top, or you can be brave like us and hike up the 600 stairs to the top!

I'm from Rijeka and it's great to see my small town mentioned in a tourist vlog, when people usually visit either Dalmatia or Zagreb (Rijeka is not considered a super touristy destination, as you said, it's more of an industrial town, or at least once was).
