We have a lot of people moving into Florida but also a lot of people leaving as well. In 2023, Florida saw an inflow of nearly 637,000 people from other states – the highest in the
country. However, there were also nearly 511,000 people who left Florida for another state, the
largest outflow the state has seen and the second most in 2023, behind only California.

Growing up in Minnesota back in the 80s and 90s....all I heard was how everyone wanted to move to Florida. Everyone wanted to live in Florida! I visited a few times and yes, the weather is great but it rains alot and its very humid. It's also very dirty outside of the tourist areas. Trash everywhere! Once you leave disney, you are shocked by how run down everything is

A friend of mine went on vacation Miami recently. An 8 minute taxi ride was 50 dollars, a lunch with two bowls of pasta and two cokes was 82 dollars and a bag of potato chips was 9 dollars. He will never go back to Miami again.

I am currently a victim of ageism here in Lakeland, Florida. I lost my job back in October 2019, right before the pandemic hit. I am still unemployed. I have applied for over 600+ jobs since then. Not 1 job interview. I am stuck here in Florida. I couldn't leave if I wanted to. I am trying to sell my home. It has been on the market since July 2019. I have dropped my price from $326K several times. I cannot drop it anymore. I need to be able to afford a place to live once I sell this home. I made a HUGE mistake moving here 11+ years ago. I should never have come here.
