I'm currently looking to upgrade my old Precision M4600 to a new precision model and interested in the 3350 and 3351 due to budget. I'm very keen to see your review of thermals and performance on the 3350 so I hope you might have this ready soon? Also, are you planning to review the 3351? Your comparison of the 5550 and 7550 was a real eye opener in terms of the thermal issues / performance drop with the 5550. I'm trying to work out whether I need to spend the money on a decent spec 7550 or whether the 3350 or 3551 will do the job for a lot less money. I work in architecture with 2D and 3D CAD programs with occasional rendering. Many thanks! Keep up the great work. R

I'm actually happy to see the older barrel style power connectors go away. They used a power sense center pin that would sometimes break, rendering the power supply useless (the laptop couldn't determine the power supply output so it wouldn't charge).

I need to choose between New Lattitude 5520 and Precision 3560. Both falling in the same range approx with the same specs. Can you suggest....

Thank you BsianDad for the review. Can you please tell me about the general build quality? I usually buy and use the Latitude 7480 & 7400 series (which i think are great), but as you know it's not available in a 15 inch. I don't really like the Precision 5000 series, because i prefer buttons below the touchpad. I'm just wondering if i will be happy with the build quality? or if it feels cheap and plastic like? Thanks for the input you or anyone else can give me.

Thank you for your helpful review. I just wanted to ask you what the three black keys right above the touchpad and below the spacebar are for. I guess they are a kind of support for the g spot but I can't understand how they work. Is there anybody who can help me? Sorry for the silly question!

I also wish that IBM trackpoint would just go away; a bit puzzled why Dell would include that when it's been eliminated from the rest of their laptops years ago.
