Really, most of this seems really complicated to me. Just use colour checking, so don’t just LOOK at the colours, but COMPARE the colour to what you have mixed to be that colour, side by side. Check out the videos by Draw Mix Paint aka. Mark Carder here at YT.

Very good John Burton!! If I see someone working off an Open Box M, I know they know what they are doing in Plein Air. I have all of them, from the time they were a "new" company. Pricey yes, but the most expensive thing is your time, once lost it is gone forever! So don't waste time doing bad paintings with cheap and shitty materials, especially paint, brushes and supports; they will fight you and usually win the battle to get a good result in the field!!! enjoy painting kiddies!! :D
