Sea of Thieves: How to Find other Players [LFG]

How to Find other players to sail with, and create good Crews for new and returning players.

Since the announcement of the trailer, massive hype is amongst the seas. There have been countless players joining Sea of Thieves as new sailors or other Legends returning to the Seas after a break. With that, I have been asked a lot on my streams, how do I find players to sail with?

Is it bad that I clicked here (as a mostly solo slooper) looking for ways to find other crews (I missed the obvious LFG tag in the title)? I have the best experience with almost everyone I meet. Whether we fight or ally I always learn something from them and hope they learn something from me.

Almost every friend I met in SoT I met through Discord with just rarely a bad apple in it.
Also.. I remember the group scene at the start. It was a fun event. Even found myself in the crowd. Didn't know you recorded it.

Sea of Thieves needs an in-game lobby server. I've always thought it was pretty lazy of the developers of a multi-player game to force people to use third party apps to get organized.

Xbox looking for group is fantastic for Sea of Thieves. The key is to make your own post so you can select the people who join and to put in the description "mature adults only" along with a description on what you plan to do be that tall tales, forts, pvp, or whatever. Avoid dumb elitist requirements like pirate legend only etc.

I was pleasantly surprised with the lfc in the SoT discord. I’ve yet to fail selling a FoTD haul, despite sometimes people being pretty new.

At first I understood "How to find other players in the sea?". This is a very helpfull video for newbies but maybe you may drop a guide video about finding other ships, look areas etc. Wouldnt say no :D

Hey Phuzzy! thanks for the content, first of all. I thought this video was about finding other ships, to sink or to make friends / alliances etc. If you made that kind of video I would certainly watch it. It could include things like watching emissary tables, locations for Athena runs etc., most common places to park your ship near each island (e.g. beaches near vaults). And then maybe a guide on how to avoid being spotted (using storms, fog, parking behind islands etc.). Cheers!
