This maybe not the place for this but wth. I've been playing for about 3 weeks as a solo slooper and just made PL, so I thought I'd try my hand at skulduggery. There was a FoF happening and I noticed a brig hiding behind Devil's Ridge nearby. I managed to sneak on board as they were all 3 off the boat and barreled by the map table. Twenty minutes later, they killed whoever it was who cleared the FoF and loaded the loot. Next island they, you guessed it, all left the ship. I made off with a Chest of Legends and they never even knew. Not very impressive, I'm sure but it's my first steal and I loved it. I can see why you have 10, 000 hours sir. This is addictive. Good luck in 2024!

Great stuff. "Project confidence" is such a big deal for newer players, especially ones who don't actually want to fight. You're more likely to get left alone if you don't make it obvious you won't fight back!

11:25 Check for tuckers constantly. Everytime you leave your ship, you ... check for tuckers constantly. Everytime you leave your ship, and you get back to it, do a quick check for tuckers.
Im not sure, do I have to check for tuckers?

Love the content Hitbo, keep it coming! <3

with the project confidence I find a good way to do it in is puzzy bond's how not to get mad in sea of thieves with the tip being don't fight to win fight to lose where you don't feel like you have lost everything but you feel calmer so when you die and sound genuinely pleased saying nice shot it may put them on edge

I love sot so much and I’m always playing it alone because all my friends don’t want to play it/ play it constantly so they improve. Solo slooping is pretty rough sometimes. I wish I had someone fighting by my side

Additional tip, if you find yourself in a death spiral situation, steer the helm so it syncs with the circle move of the enemy ship, that way only half of your ship exposed and you buy yourself some time

If you're a newer pirate, and only have stuff like the parrot or xbox ship set, just rock the default set until you can get a cool one. Sometimes default ships are actually good players in disguise, so anybody with a reasonable amount of time in game knows not to underestimate a default sloop.

Hitbo: Always park your ship parallel to the island, sails up, anchor up.
Also Hitbo: Tries to drop sails on every parked ship to distract people and steal stuff.

Do you have any tips for people with auditory processing issues? When stuff gets hairy I can NEVER pick out the sound of a boarder or a mermaid

You whaa? Didnt think tucking made you invisible?? Just.. less noticable, explains mysterious bang barrels when I came back to my ship( or flying bomber pirates )😂 I do solo sloop only on High seas and jolly co-operation with my siblings for now, on Safer seas. Solo HS sure is the hardcore mode and I LOVE the adrenaline rush and being vigilant!

So I’ve only played bout 12 hours in SoT on High Seas and I haven’t seen many boats and no one attacked me. Anyway, you say always keep anchor up but my boat starts drifting away depending on currents of course, is there some way to moor it so I don’t need the anchor? Thanks for any advice

The jumping lunge that knocked the boarder off was amazing.
