Microsoft is completely remaking Edge, using Chromium!

Microsoft Edge hasn't gotten much love over the years, and Google Chrome has been the most popular browser for a long time. But Microsoft is finally revamping Edge, this time completely remaking it based on the Chromium browser (the same browser which Google Chrome is based on). This has a lot of advantages we can talk about in regards to compatibility, features, and more!

I used it as my standard browser on my laptop (win10 64 Home) for a couple of weeks and i like it a lot. Its really quick and nice to use. No themes yet but all extenstions i use on chrome i can use on Edge Chromium. I like it a lot so far.

the new Edge is already my default browser. it's stable enough and visually it fixes most of the problems I had with dar themes of chrome that left the adress bar white (also microsoft menus look way cleaner than google's). installing apps (or websites as apps) via the browser is really cool. it's kinda sad to see microsoft going back to round corners though (and delaying windows sets entiely - and not even givig us tabs in file explorer this year's spring - or fall - update)....

Great info, but I have 2 questions for you. hope you don't mid. What is the difference between chromium beta and regular chromium and which is best? 2nd, is there a way to transfer all of my bookmarks from Microsoft edge into the chromium or will I just loose all of them?

I have found some extensions from the Chrome Store do not work on Edge

I am using Canary version and tried some extensions from google chrome web store, but some extensions that rely on apps break.
