I can get the scammers to easily rage quit by asking them a simple question: send me a photo of yourself holding a thumbs up or peace sign. They always get pissy, snarl insults and vow to never contact me again. Instant win every time...

I remember when similar scams would occur over email.
I'd play along and waste as much of their time as I could. Eventually a long time/effort invested scammer would realise what's going on and would rage quit with threats and abuse. Those were fun times.
Now I don't have the time anymore.

I have had three such messages on Wechat in the past several months. I figured it was a scam, so I ignored them. I didn't discover that this is an organized scam until I watched this video.

Thank you for shedding light on this. HECK YEAH! Earlier this year I got a couple of these from random girls I didn't know. I was scratching my head over this and eventually concluded they were random bawds touting for punters. One went "Hello are you Matt from Sydney?" and the other was weird! It went "How's business these days? Well I won't see you anymore" First two words that entered my head were "What So, thanks for the clarification.

The most common Chinese scam I experienced are the foreign exchange scammers. Generally a Chinese woman claiming to live in HK, or Taiwan. However happen to be working in mainland China.

This happened to me three times in last two months. The last two I am stringing them along. Playing with the scammers is fun. One is a very beautiful Chinese girl. She has been on camera with me a few times. Once in awhile she mentions crypto. I pretend I do not hear it😂
