Elena Tonra is such an emotional performer that you feel like you're being shown something intimate when she sings. I think though, that this session (especially Romance) might be the most raw I've seen her.

I can't put my feelings about this song into words. And not just this one. The whole album. It has some kind of vibes that I hadn't listened before, like, every element on the song matches the other perfectly, the piano, the drums, the guitar with that effect she used, it just gives me chills. I hadn't felt this way about music in a long long time. Elena is the new queen of melancholy. Period.

Her performance is so vulnerable, almost like you want to comfort her; but that isn’t the point. It’s meant to be raw and emotional, just take it for what it is. It makes you almost mold her words into your experience. I often feel my day change after hearing songs like this. I love how it reminds me what a complex roller coster love and loss can be.
