Spending some time in Lightroom today, taking a look at how I typically process the M11 Monochrom files, and then making some prints here at home on the Canon Pro-1000.

There's noting like a print. Beautiful work, Matt.

Oh man, for my personal taste the "Cave Stairs" photo was perfect right from the start. There was an aura of mystery around it! 😊

Given the limitations of inkjet printers, how well do the benefits of a monochrome camera translate to printed photographs? i.e., If making a black and white print is the end-game, is there any noticeable difference between printed images captured on an M monochrome vs a standard M. Seems like an obvious question but can't find any post on the topic. Thanks.

Enjoyed seeing your post production process. After years of B&W film shooting, I've just stared using a M10 Monochrom. Some advise using minus 1 stop exposure compensation, so I'm trying that method. This does require increasing exposure on almost every file, but mostly avoids clipping highlights. Like you, I prefer to make limited minor LR adjustments as much as possible. Thanks for broadcasting so much useful advice.

Do you use color filters with the monochrom (or even film)? With the M246 I recently added a yellow filter and must say really love the subtle difference in contrast. Makes editing even easier to me. Btw, love your channel!

Matt, did you use a color filter on your lens for these shots?

I enjoy your channel and I feel that you have provided a great volume of high-quality information. There is probably still some trepidation about a digital versus analog comparison rabbit hole, but I wonder if you have thoughts about how the M11M output compares to M6 with HP5? Would/could you have enlarged images from both displayed on the same wall and be happy and confident with results? Cheers from Canada

bridge photo is great. I took a photo of a fallen tree there once that I loved... before I really even knew what I was doing. Not that I know much now.

I am curious, when editing your photos and before you print I did not see any sharpening or increase in the DPI settings. Is that something you normally don’t do? Thanks for your great content as well! 9:51

Hello and thanks for your videos. I own a Lieca m11 monochrome... and I take better contrast photos on a Sony A7c... I asked Leica Miami if this is possible... and their answer is... yes... but with the Lightroom edition you can improve it much better than a Sony A7c photo... What is your opinion..?

Great video - as a new M11M owner I'm pretty much underexposing most shots because I use highlight-weighted metering. Is that your approach also? Or do you just check the shot with highlight warnings afterward? It seems the monochrom is more likely to blow highlights than other cameras, although the ability to pull up the shadows is insane, so it hasn't been an issue. I was also interested in seeing your printing process - I haven't been able to print any M11M shots yet. I suppose no special driver is needed for the camera? And no issue with color casts on the prints? This is all new territory (M11M) for me. Thanks again!

Matt, I like the first photo . Great expressions and mood. Would you say there is a noticeable difference between the summilux and the cron 35 at 2.8?

Hi Matt, thanks for this and the other videos, really informative, with beautiful photos.
I am also a happy owner of M11M.
I haven’t seen any sharpness and noise reduction settings in your Lightroom process, but Lightroom normally applies some by default: do you set it to 0 or do you leave the values as LR sets? Thanks!

Hey Matt, that bridge photo man.. I’m suddenly in desperate need of a photo printer at home for personal work. I’ve always relied on a top photo lab where I live for prints. I never bother with cheaper printing services. I once did a comparison between a whole bunch of printing services and since then only use the best. The differences were insane. Would you be willing to share some more on printing at home? I have no idea where to begin. Thanks mate!

Can I assume that these are raw files/dng? As always, love your content!

Matt, next time show the photos closer when in Lightroom. They are too small in there...
