I gotta say I just finished watching this, literally 5 mins ago, and I have got to say

 I cried my heart out all through that ending scene. And I'm glad I did. I'm not an emotional guy. I find it hard to display any sort of emotion. I tend to just let things boil up inside me and I need something as a release. That ending gave me that release. Thank you Tristan for sharing this amazing work of art that has helped me through this troubled time of mine.

Just finished AnoHana. I loved it. The end was so sad and at the same time, I was so happy. Realy can't describe it ...

Once I finished the series, lets just say I was so close to crying I had to bite my finger to stop myself. Whenever I hear the opening theme I start to get goosebumps and the "heart-melting" part. Some people might call me a crybaby, I'll call them heartless pricks. Its all part and parcel of life. Great anime 9/10

i get really mopey whenever i reminisce about anohana. sometimes that melancholy lingers for days, and i can't stop myself from binging videos like this one for company. it's a feeling i recognise as the tides of grief, rising suddenly when i least expect it, washing over me for some time before receding to the back of my mind once more. feels silly when i say it out loud but it's *almost* like mourning a real person. that's the power of art. it continues to leave a flower-shaped dent in my soul years later.
