Years later and it is still one of my favorite games. I had a handful of friends speak against it, but I thought it was great. Despite its hiccups, it was a great game. It had diverse gameplay in its levels. The aesthetic was awesome and fairly detailed. The voice acting by the crew was great as well. Surely and under appreciated title.

I'm playing this game again now in 2023 and by todays standard it still holds up fairly well. I definitely think this game is extremely underrated. Definitely a hidden gem and lots of fun.

I don't think this is a bad game, unfinished, yes but I wouldn't call it bad. The story was good, the voice acting was good, the visuals were gorgeous, and I loved the attention to detail in the lore and designs. The only real problem I had was that I felt the final boss was disappointing. Also I felt they really underused the Enterprise.

It's a shame it's not on steam anymore.

The games graphics, story line and the actors doing the real voices for the characters was some of the good points about the game the rest is still in debate. Does anyone else think this game might have done better as a episode or movie.

I loved this game when it came out i couldnt stop playing plus the gorn are my favourite race from the og series and seeing them in this star trek universe was epic

You can't expect it to be like BF3 or Crysis 3, this is a game based on a movie that "needed" to come out very close to when the new Star Trek movie comes out. Take it for what it is.

It's a dynamic engine the lighting, shadows and shading take care of it's self and can be customized to suit the users needs in most engines.

Saying i've never worked with graphics is untrure I also studied graphic design before I got my job in banking. If I had a team of developers i'd probably have time to create better material in Cryengine or Unreal that would easily surpass Star Treks visuals.

Did you watch the original series 60th? The show schedule is not important, but the acting is more important. Here even the voices of the characters and actors from the movie. + Music stay from movie. Must Have!

Oh, I remember :) Star Trek was the original "gritty reboot." But it was not popular or thought highly of during its run, that being the implication of the original poster.

I mean, it's not like we only have quality programming today and networks don't put bad stuff on the air because everyone is so cynical. Though TV is a much better medium today than it was 40 years ago.

Don't know why people are complaining about the graphics. I think they look pretty damn good. It's not all about highest resolutions and most complicated shaders, it's about how well they fit in to the world, and this looks like it's spot on.
Looks a little scripted gameplay-wise, but otherwise, awesome.

I liked the game. The Co-op part of it And it really was not that bad. It could have been far better but playing with a friend made it fun. Not everyone thinks like you If he likes the game than he likes it. have you even played it? I will say its not worth the purchase but at least a rental. Its only fun if your with a friend. sure there are problems with it a lot but I kinda looked past them case you really have to work as a team to get through it and it had an awesome achievement at the end

I think it looks decent. People expect too much these days. Especially when they haven't the slightest clue how hard making a decent video game is. Then they don't even buy it themselves. Mum or Dad does. Most gamers want to be treated like adults but act like total brats. Just be grateful we live in an age where we are lucky enough to have these things. Don't slag something off until you have tried it. And even then, slagging it off just makes you look like an ungrateful idiot.

You can with asthetics rather than technically quality assets. Licensing CE3 for the AAA release costs a lot by the way.
