As much as a "joke" the comics Deep is, he's probably one of the (if not THE most) smarter Seven members. He laid low, kept his hedonism in line, and was incredibly savvy with his finances.

Granted, his last appearance as a Klansman-lookalike doesn't look so good on him. But there's no reason to believe he didn't retire comfortably offscreen.
