Why didn't they just change the name on the ticket to the baby's name? The father already had paid for the seat. If the airline had time to check a standby passenger's name against whatever lists per FAA regs, wouldn't they have the same amount of time to make sure the baby's name was OK? Airlines should not be allowed to sell the same seat twice, especially in a case like this.

Flight wasn't overbooked, just four people waiting for their seats (that they paid for) to open up. I see 10 million reasons not to do it again.

You know those times they kicked people out for speaking Arabic. They paid for their seats too. And it wasn't because of overbooking

Why all the mob mentalities. Think pause and remember when you by a non refundable ticket (key word non refundable) that ticket is under their name so you can not just use it for anyone you want.

Looks fake. They just put baby in lap. Not kicked off. Then try to sell this as being kicked off, IMO.
