A good programmer only needs 3 keys, CTRL, C, and V.

i'm fine with no numpad but the delete, home and end keys are a necessity for me
so i prefer a 65% or a 10 keyless keyboard with those 3 dedicated keys

"What makes you a good programmer is being able to type really fast"... WTFFFF??? I do agree that comfort is important for a task that you will spend many hours performing, but being a good programmer definitely isn't about speed.

Ducky One 2 SF RGB models (still) can get frozen on macOS, especially while software (OS) update checking is performed. And disabling the automatic checking in the background does not completely solve the problem either.

Eventually, based on some tweets, I found an workaround (as I am a happy owner of two of this model, and using both on macOS):
1. Put DIP switch to ON
2. Press Fn + Alt + P for 3 seconds
Number keys and A to F letters are light up in red.
3. Type "05AC024F"
This changes the Product ID and Vendor ID values of the device.
You can verify the change by using "About This Mac", click on "System Report ..." and go to Hardware > USB > USB 3.0 Bus > Ducky One2 SF RGB.

I am hoping that this will help others to get rid off this ugly issue, as currently the vendor did not yet provided a firmware update.

That keyboard, while having dedicated arrow keys, makes me hope for dedicated home and end keys...for navigation, arrow keys + home and end are what I feel necessary when still looking for the perfect keyboard. - What I do agree with, numkeys are totally not needed, nor are PgUp/PgDn (Ctrl + Up/Dn in most IDEs/text editors) mean nothing if you have the control over lines in both directions and a big fat "Enter" key for us Scandinavians too.

I literally use the exact same keyboard. I went through probably 5 mechanical keyboards. Razer, multiple corsairs, nothing did it until I got my ducky one sf with Mx browns.

Can’t suggest it enough. It is truly phenomenal

Leopold FC660M is literally the same price but comes with greater quality.

Using the cherry mx browns, love this keyboard.

Oh and I also recommend a US layout for coding, since most of the commonly used languages take advantage of/use the ;{[<>]} keys. Those keys are way easier to reach than on most European layouts.

Don't forget the importance of that big Enter key, its sooo important when writting code! I hate missing the enter key when using keyboards with small (horizontal) enter key.

i think you should definitely go scout out those customized keyboards, definitely a bit more costly but definitely better for customization and feelings

As a keyboard enthusiast I would recommend people watching this to buy the tada68 with aluminum high profile case. From kbdfans (if it’s in your budget) I bought two of them.. benefits are: same layout but gives you 100% programmability using qmk. Don’t worry there’s also a web GUI. The price is amazingly good. And it’s 100% aluminum and feels so premium you can’t imagine.. for switches grab milky gateron yellow lube them with tribosys 3204

You could look at 75% keyboards like the KBD75 V2, its almost the same size as the 65% but it retains all the function keys as its own Row on the right!

I think it was about 1, 5 years ago I bought this keyboard after watching your video. I love it. One thing I love about it being so small is that it's super easy to move and put somewhere else on the desktop if you want to. Like when I'm cleaning the desk. Or if I want to think and bring up my pen and paper front and center on the desk, then the keyboard kan easily sit up between my screens for a while. And so on. There's just no fuzz.
