I think the choice of books here is good but 70-30 balance should be there if you're beginner i.e. you dedicate your time in theory (Bishop's and Tibshirani's) 70% time and 30% on implementation of the learned concepts (top 3 books). By the way all the book cover ML part of AI. For appreciating the science for AI refer Russell and Norvig's.
