Republicans are filing lawsuits to purge voters

I remember this happening to a sitting state congressperson who was a Democrat in TN. He came home to vote and had been purged from the records and had to fill out a provisional ballot, even though he was presently serving!

This is why it is so important to check your own registration before the deadline for registration in your state. Look it up and mark your calendar. While you’re at it, ask when early voting begins and what the rules are for registration in your state. Being informed is your best defense. Some states allow same day registration but some do not. Some are imposing restrictions on how long mail in ballots can be counted after the end of Election Day. Be aware of these deadlines so that your vote will be sure to be counted!
